Claire Mercer founded Cleverland in 2023. As a hobbyist puzzle-maker for years, she was driven by the idea of a human-first puzzling experience. No algorithms or programs-- totally analog from creating to solving.

As a result, Claire personally writes and illustrates each puzzle by hand herself. There are no digital copies of the books (single print-outs may make an appearance though!) and they will never be available from a large retailer.
